Replace Missing Teeth in Minden With Durable Implant-Supported Bridges
If you have multiple missing teeth and live in or near Minden, you may be a good candidate for a dental implant-supported bridge. Missing teeth can affect just more than your smile and appearance. Missing teeth can change the shape of your face, contribute to shifting teeth, make eating difficult, and much more. An implant-supported bridge might be the solution.
Unlike a traditional bridge, which may not be available to all patients, an implant-supported bridge uses dental implants to anchor the bridge restoration. This offers an excellent amount of flexibility, natural looking restorations, and decreased cost.
Implant-supported bridges offer a number of advantages over other restorations, such as dentures. Implant-supported bridges are particularly stable and durable, they preserve your facial structure and jawbone and offer healthier neighboring teeth and overall oral health over the long term.
If you think you might be a good candidate or would just like to have your missing teeth checked out, Absolute Dental is now accepting new patients in Minden and across the state of Nevada. Our doctors are among the best in the business, our facilities are state-of-the-art, and we offer affordable services, including payment plans and wide dental insurance acceptance.

A Dental Bridge Solution Built for Minden Residents
While traditional restorations, such as dentures and traditional bridges, do have their merits, they can be inadequate for some people for a number of reasons. Dentures can be difficult to care for, uncomfortable, and cumbersome. Traditional bridges might not work in every situation, due to missing teeth or other issues.
This is where dental-supported bridges come in. These restorations use one or more implanted teeth to anchor the dental work. This offers stability, appearance advantages, cost advantages, and much more.
Importantly, implants replace missing tooth roots that, when gone, can cause additional difficulties, such as shifting surrounding teeth, abnormal face shape, and even loss of jawbone. Dental-supported bridges help restore or maintain all three, ultimately supporting long-term oral health.
Why Implant-Supported Bridges Work
The basic idea of dental-supported implants is relatively simple. First, one or more false teeth are implanted into the jawbone. This unusually consists of a titanium or ceramic post attached to the jaw, then capped with a natural-looking tooth. These are the gold-standard in tooth restoration, and many people are unable to tell the difference between an implanted and natural tooth.
Second, a bridge is secured between multiple implanted teeth or between natural teeth and an implanted tooth. The implants support the new bridge, like a traditional bridge, and help keep your dentition stable and your face shape natural.
A dental-supported bridge also replaces multiple teeth, rather than each individual tooth being replaced by an implant. Unlike removable dentures, the bridge is fixed and is not removable or movable. These advantages make them cost effective, extremely durable, and very effective.

The implant-supported bridge process has three phases: consultation, implant placement, and final restoration.
The first phase is consultation. During this phase, your unique dental situation will be examined by the dentist and dental team. We will evaluate your teeth, jaw, gums, and other areas relevant to your oral health. In most cases, we’ll use advanced imaging, such as X-rays, to help understand what is happening below the gumline and other places we are unable to see with the naked eye.
Once the examination has concluded, we’ll discuss any concerns you may have and your ultimate goals. At this point, you can ask your dentist any questions that may be relevant, including issues related to sedation, price, etc.
Once a plan is in place, we can begin the restoration. First, you will have false teeth implanted. This will likely take more than one session. During the first session, you will have titanium or ceramic posts implanted into your jaw. You’ll take time to heal, and caps that look like natural teeth will be fitted onto the implants.
Once you’ve healed, the final restoration can begin, and the bridge can be built. The bridge is designed to fit comfortably into your mouth and bite and improve the appearance of your smile. During this time, your Absolute Dental team will provide further instructions for cleaning and maintenance.
While most cases follow these phases, we want to emphasize that each patient is unique, and we treat them as such. When you visit us, you’ll receive a plan that is unique to you and your personal oral situation.

Our all-in-one approach means care can be coordinated within one organization, saving time, offering convenience, and leading to fewer communication errors and treatment lag. All in the same office, we offer family dentistry, orthodontics, emergency services, and restorative dentistry, such as implant-supported bridges.
In addition to our convenience and excellent service, we pride ourselves on offering affordable services to the entire community. We accept a wide variety of insurance carriers, and for those with limited ability to pay, financing and payment plans.
Who Benefits Most From Implant-Supported Bridges?
The best use-case for implant-supported bridges are for adults who are missing three or more teeth in a row. They are generally used on the molars in the back of the mouth rather than incisors in the front. They are ideal for people who would prefer a permanent, durable solution over removable dentures.
However, there are some physical limitations for who may be a good candidate. You must have sufficient jawbone to support dental implants and relatively healthy gums, or gums that can be effectively treated. Those with gum disease may need to be treated for gum issues first. Other health concerns may affect planning as well.
The best way to understand if you’re a good candidate is to visit us for a consultation. We can examine your unique oral situation, take imaging, such as X-rays, and quickly determine if you might be a good candidate for one or more dental implant-supported bridges.
