How do I file a claim for unemployment insurance benefits?

Online filing is available at the unemployment insurance benefit office’s claimant self-service portal. http://ui.nv.gov/css.html

Staff-assisted filing is available by phone from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., however, due to the Coronavirus crisis, hours may be extended.

Are our benefits still going to be active during the time we are closed?
Yes.  If you have been laid off, your benefits are still in force through March 31st.

Are we going to be compensated for all or partial hours we lost during this time?
We are still working to understand the duration of the outage and what government programs will be available.

Will I get back to my normal schedule after this situation resolves?
At this point, we cannot speculate on duration and/or the quality of the schedules, once it subsides.  Nonetheless, it’s our full intention to keep filling schedules once we resume operations and get back to normal as soon as possible.
