When your smile isn’t quite as white as you’d like it, your cosmetic dentist can provide teeth whitening services that are tailored to your specific needs. In-office whitening is the best option to lighten your teeth because it is the safest and most effective method. Your cosmetic dentist will use strong whitening agents that can whiten your teeth up to 10 shades in an hour while protecting your gums and the rest of your mouth during the treatment.

A fixed dental bridge is a permanent, non-removable prosthesis that is attached to your natural teeth to help replace a missing tooth. Fixed bridges are one of the less-costly options for people who have lost teeth and they can be very aesthetically pleasing.

Dental Crowns replace the exterior portion of a tooth to reestablish its appearance and functionality after it has been severely damaged as a result of tooth decay, a traumatic event or severe enamel erosion. Crowns are secured in the mouth by being attached to the remaining tooth with a secure resin.

Bonding is a popular treatment utilized to reshape or rebuild teeth because it provides an attachment between the filling material and the original enamel and dentin of the tooth. The bonding looks and functions just like the original tooth. In the experienced hands of one of our cosmetic dentists, direct bonding can be a great option to make a chipped or damaged tooth look good-as-new, and bonding is often less costly than veneers or crowns. Bonding is also long-lasting when properly maintained.

In the past, metallic fillings were utilized when a tooth needed to be filled, but these types of fillings couldn’t bond with the tooth they were applied to, they simply rested on it and helped protect it. Today, metal-free fillings using more tooth-like materials are available that are safer and look more natural. These fillings more accurately imitate the natural enamel of the tooth.

A gum lift is a procedure where the gums are reshaped to help create a more pleasing smile. The procedure can usually be performed with lasers and requires little recovery time. Gum lifts are often utilized along with other cosmetic procedures, such as veneers, to help build the perfect smile.

Dental Implants are a way of recreating a missing tooth without affecting the surrounding teeth. The key part is the titanium implant that sits in the bone pocket of the original tooth. The titanium forms a bond with the bone over time and helps prevent the bone loss that can occur with other types of tooth replacement. The implant is capped with a crown that replicates the enamel portion of the original tooth and the replacement tooth will often work just as well, if not better, than the original tooth.

Veneers are thin pieces of porcelain that are applied to existing teeth to help recreate the natural look of the teeth along with providing additional strength. This is often the best choice for those looking to make minor alterations to the look of their smile because veneers can easily make slight alterations to the position, shape, color, or size of existing teeth.
