1. Exam And Consultation
When you book a teeth whitening session at Absolute Dental, your dentist will first assess the level of staining on your teeth and determine the right approach. The dentist will also examine your oral health and decide if you are a good candidate for teeth whitening.
If everything looks good, your dentist will determine what level of hydrogen peroxide or other whitening agent to apply to your teeth. We’ll walk you through what to expect and get you ready for application.
2. Whitening Gel Application
After your teeth are prepped, your dentist will carefully apply the whitening gel directly to your teeth. We’ll let you know how long it will take to allow the gel to activate and effectively whiten your teeth. As always, we’ll make sure you’re comfortable throughout the procedure and monitor your progress the whole time.
3. Assessment Of Whitening Treatment
When the treatment is complete, we’ll remove the whitening gel and assess your teeth. This involves comparing your post-treatment shade with the color of your teeth prior to application to determine if you need additional sessions. For many patients, just one whitening treatment will brighten their teeth by several shades!
