The Absolute Dental Cares team has done it again! In support of the Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation, Absolute Dental raised thousands of dollars and participated in the 30th Annual Superhero 5K in Las Vegas. The money raised goes directly to local families with children battling childhood cancer.
Absolute Dental Fundraising Goals
Absolute Dental smashed its fundraising goal of $10,000 by raising $26,241.78 and took second place for the most funds raised in the state. The Absolute Dental team and their families also showed their support by participating in the Superhero 5K run, complete with superhero capes and all.
Each individual Absolute Dental practice donated both time and money towards this initiative, with the 4035 S. Durango location raising the most contributions out of all 28 participating locations. Congratulations to the team on their outstanding efforts!
About the Superhero 5K
This year’s Superhero 5K on September 14th was the 30th anniversary of the fun-filled family event that raises support for local children battling childhood cancer. Apart from the 5K run, the event also hosts food vendors, a fun kids zone with games and a bounce house, a bone marrow drive, raffle prizes, and more. All attendees are encouraged to wear superhero costumes and gear.
Upcoming Absolute Dental Cares Initiatives
Absolute Dental continues to partner with the Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation with upcoming events such as the Halloween Bash on October 24th. Absolute Dental will also be hosting a Free Children’s Clinic for children with cancer and their siblings at the Cheyenne location in Las Vegas on Saturday, November 16th.

Candlelighters has been offering emotional and financial assistance to improve the quality of life for young cancer patients since 1978. Approximately 125 families are served every month at no cost.
